Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev, during a working detour of the Turksib district, got acquainted with the progress of construction of water supply and sanitation networks along Zakarpatskaya Street.
There were no centralized communications on the site connected from Almaty region to Almaty in 2014. Residents stretched a collective water supply system on their own, and septic tanks were used for drainage. Over time, the water supply system, worn out during operation, ceased to withstand loads, which caused periodic interruptions in water supply.
To solve this problem, the Akimat of the Turksib district has developed a project for the construction of 4.8 km of water supply, 1.6 km of sewerage and two sewage pumping stations. Construction and installation work began in 2022 with completion in June this year.
As of today, the work on laying engineering networks has been completed, but only one KNS has been installed, although the project provided for two. In this regard, in August of this year, the akimat of the Turksib district filed a lawsuit against the contractor for failure to meet deadlines and incomplete completion of work. Legal proceedings are underway.
While reviewing the progress of the work, Yerbolat Dosayev instructed to complete the construction and accelerate the commissioning of facilities. The akim of the district assured that the second KNS will be installed in December this year. As a result, 70 houses with more than 300 residents will be covered by central communications.
It is worth noting that the restoration of the asphalt concrete pavement was carried out taking into account the new Rules for the maintenance of engineering communications adopted at the initiative of the mayor of the city Yerbolat Dosayev. If earlier the roadbed was restored only along the trench, now it is along the entire width of the road.
