A new Kazakhstan marketplace Teez has started operating in Karaganda. Its advantage is the delivery of the entire order in one day. Order pick-up points have already opened in 24 cities of the country.
Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliyev, together with Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev, visited the unified warehouse of the electronic trading platform. They were shown the logistics, told about the results of the launch and ambitious plans.
– We currently have 40 order pick-up points, we are represented in 24 cities of Kazakhstan. There are plans to open 127 order pick-up points in the near future and cover 30 cities. We have already created a client application, 170 thousand people have downloaded it at the moment. The application took the second place in terms of download speed – 15-20 thousand people per day. 540 sellers have already registered, and about 20 thousand individual entrepreneurs are creating cards that will sell their goods on our site. The product range is 50 thousand items," said Linar Khusnullin, co–founder of Teez.
The company currently employs 245 people. And in the future, 8 thousand new jobs will be created, small and medium-sized businesses will receive support.
At the start of the project, a single warehouse was located in four buildings with a total area of 25 thousand square meters. m. And by 2030 it is planned to build its own premises on an area of 120 thousand square meters. m. A land plot for construction has already been found in Karaganda.
In the future, the company intends to become a leader in online commerce.
– In recent years, we have seen a sharp increase in e-commerce. Only at the end of 10 months, the volume increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. In absolute terms, this amount exceeds 3 trillion tenge. Such projects have a positive impact on the economy and the availability of goods for consumers," Arman Shakkaliyev said.
The Minister believes that, taking into account the geographical location and infrastructure, the Karaganda region can become not only a Kazakh reference trade and logistics center, but also a Central Asian hub.
As part of his working trip to the region, Arman Shakkaliyev visited a number of shopping facilities. In the Osakarovsky district, I met with business representatives and residents. The aim was to explain new business support tools.
When visiting a rural store and a city supermarket, the minister was interested in placing domestic goods on the shelves.
He also went to the department where eggs are sold. I made sure that buyers have a choice, including the product at the price from the manufacturer – 470 tenge for a dozen of category C1.
Arman Shakkaliyev also got acquainted with the work of the «Karagandy Nan» Corporation.
The company produces bread, pasta, eggs and other products. It provides food not only to the market of the region and the country, but also exports to neighboring countries. He supplies eggs to Afghanistan.
When visiting the Global City shopping and entertainment center, the Minister of Trade and Integration was shown a warehouse complex for storing goods intended for large wholesalers. There are access roads and a private customs control area.
