A round table on the theme "Partnership, dialogue and trust — the path to a strong civil society" was held in Astana, organized by the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was held within the framework of the strategic partnership "Organization of the activities of the Center for the Development of Civil Society "Adal Azamat – belsendi kogam".
The participants discussed key aspects of the formation and development of civil society, paying special attention to the issues of effective partnership, dialogue and confidence-building between government institutions and representatives of the civil sector in the implementation of social initiatives.
The event was attended by representatives of central government agencies, as well as heads of non-governmental organizations from all regions of the country.
It is worth noting that the activities of the civil sector demonstrate positive dynamics. Thus, since 2008, the number of NGOs in Kazakhstan has increased 2.5 times. Currently, more than 22 thousand NGOs are registered in the country, of which about 17 thousand are actively functioning.
