The Committee of Railway and Water Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a field meeting in Aktau to consider topical issues raised during a meeting of the Operational Headquarters at the relevant department for ensuring the export of grain crops.

In particular, issues of ensuring uninterrupted transportation and increasing the export potential of grain crops through the seaports of Aktau and Kuryk, including procedures for registration and issuance of veterinary and phytosanitary certificates, were discussed during the meeting. The issues of changing the rules of work of the phytosanitary service and shortening the period for issuing export permits for grain, which were repeatedly voiced by carriers during a meeting of the Operational Headquarters, were also touched upon.

As a result of the meeting, specific proposals were developed to revise the procedures for issuing veterinary and phytosanitary certificates, in terms of their simplification, which will be considered by the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Ministry of Transport conducts an Operational Headquarters on a weekly basis to ensure the export of grain crops.
