In Shakhtinsk, Karaganda region, work continues on the employment of NEET youth. There are short-term professional courses, training in the basics of entrepreneurship, subsidized jobs are offered, job fairs are held and much more.
Grants from the akims of Karaganda region and Shakhtinsk are provided for those who are interested in starting their own business. Thanks to this, several new enterprises have been launched in the city, including a speech therapy center, a hairdressing salon, and dairy production.
One of the examples of successful use of state support is the opening of an office for preparing for childbirth by a resident of Shakhtinsk, Maria Shuvurtalova. As an epidemiologist, she trained in doula. She also received training in the basics of entrepreneurship under the Bastau Business program. I have made a business plan.
– In November last year, I received a grant for one million tenge and immediately started implementing the project. I ordered everything I needed for work and opened an office a couple of months later. There was enough money for everything. I even bought more than I expected. It wasn't easy at first, but I didn't give up. I am glad that my project is in demand now, I receive gratitude from women who were helped by my knowledge during childbirth, – says Maria Shuvurtalova.
The Shakhtinsk Youth Resource Center works closely with the Career Center, providing an integrated approach to solving the issue of employment.
– As of November 1, 13,215 young people, including 673 Shakhty residents, applied for employment and training in the region. Of these, 11,950 people were employed. Individual work is carried out on each of them, including free legal and psychological consultations," says Alexey Varzaev, acting head of the Shakhtinsk Youth Resource Center. – This year we have seen a significant decrease in the number of unemployed youth. This is the result of door-to-door rounds, phone calls, and explanations of available programs. In addition, the positive dynamics is also due to the coordinated work of government agencies. We transfer young people who do not study or work anywhere from hand to hand to a Career Center. They are already directly engaged in employment here.
According to Rustem Manapov, director of the Shakhtinsk Career Center, there are enough vacancies, the main thing is the desire to work. The projects "First workplace", "Youth practice", "Contract of generations" are being successfully implemented in the city. Thanks to these initiatives, many unemployed people have already found jobs, including at enterprises such as CHP and Shakhtinskvodokanal.
Visits to orphanages are carried out for career guidance. Meetings are also held with college students, where they receive timely information about employment opportunities.
Targeted work with NEET youth on the project "Mumkindikter marathons", aimed at socialization and employment, will continue further.
