On New Year's Eve, 181 children were born in maternity hospitals in the country. Among them are 105 boys, 76 girls and one twin, who were born in the Mangystau region, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
The largest number of newborns was registered in the Turkestan region – 34 babies. Almaty and Almaty region are in second place, where 17 children were born each. The third place is taken by the city of Shymkent with 16 newborns.
According to experts, the condition of newborns and their mothers is satisfactory.
It should be noted that the Turkestan region occupies a leading position in the republic in terms of fertility rates.
