About one hundred teachers of primary military training and other subjects took part in the event, which took place on the basis of gymnasium school No. 208.
Saltanat Kusainova, the head of the education department of the Nauryzbai district, Lieutenant Colonel Marat Kanatov, the Almaty branch of the NGO "Children's and Youth Military-Patriotic Movement "Zhas Sarbaz", and Ermek Chingisov, the representative of the NGO "Republican Union of Veterans and Disabled People of Nagorno-Karabakh" in Almaty, came to support the teachers.
The event, organized by the Department of Defense Affairs and the Department of Education of the Nauryzbai district of Almaty, began with a speech by military personnel of the Airborne Assault Forces, who demonstrated elements of hand-to-hand combat.
– We hold such competitions annually. They contribute to the improvement of pedagogical skills and the exchange of experience among teachers of primary military training," said Lieutenant Maksat Azhikhanov, head of the Department for Educational and Ideological Work of the Defense Department of the Nauryzbai district of Almaty.
The relay consisted of tasks on incomplete disassembly and assembly of the AK-74, equipping the weapon store with training cartridges, donning a combined-arms protective kit, target shooting with an air rifle and medical and sanitary training.
According to the results of the competition, the first place was taken by the team of teachers of secondary school No. 192 named after Rahim Sarsenbin, the second by gymnasium school No. 174. The third was shared by gymnasium school No. 176 and secondary school No. 187.
The winning team and the winners of the competition were awarded with cups, certificates of honor and valuable prizes.
