Today, at a Government Meeting chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, issues of holding the Year of working professions announced by the president were considered.
At the meeting, akim of Mangystau region Nurdaulet Kilybay made a report on the measures taken to support working personnel.
An action plan for the year of working professions was approved in Mangistau region, and the regional headquarters began its work.
In 2025-2026, the plan includes the opening of educational and laboratory buildings in colleges, passing international industry accreditation, holding the international industry Championship "DostiSkills-2025", holding a hackathon of new ideas, opening an IT hub, opening competence centers at the expense of employer funds, increasing the target educational order on specific orders of employers, opening 2 new specialties.
It is planned to allocate funds from the budget in the amount of 142 million tenge for these works.
Within the framework of targeted funding, Yessenov university continues to work on the Atlas of new professions and competencies of the Mangystau region for 2024, 2025.
This year, priority is given to construction, energy, logistics. Currently, according to this Atlas, work is underway to update micro-qualifications for educational programs of organizations of technical and vocational education.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, 5615 places (90%) were allocated for 92 qualifications in 65 specialties. Of these, 580 students were accepted on the basis of a contract between 70 employers and the college for a state educational grant in accordance with the actual request.
