As part of the implementation of the Year of Working Professions announced by the President, during the Government meeting, attention was paid to the shortage of personnel in the transport industry, in particular, in such high-tech areas as aviation, railways and shipping. The Ministry of Transport, together with companies, has been instructed to develop a specific training plan for these industries.
For the successful development of the agro-industrial complex, the Ministry of Agriculture, together with the akims of the regions, needs to actively work out issues of providing attractive conditions for specialists in rural areas and launch new programs in this area.
The Ministry of Energy, together with companies, should do a lot of work on training workers in close cooperation with subsurface users, employers, and specialized colleges.
In addition, businesses need to be more actively involved in the process of staff training and retraining. The share of employees who improve their skills at the expense of the employer in the Republic of Kazakhstan is only 6%. At the same time, in the OECD countries, this figure reaches 48%. In this regard, the Prime Minister called on businesses to focus on improving the skills of workers, providing them with social support and creating decent working conditions.
