The issue of e-commerce development was considered at a Government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
E-commerce occupies an important segment of the global economy. In 2024 alone, more than 2.7 billion people made purchases online, with total sales totaling about $6.3 trillion.
According to the Ministry of Trade and Integration, in Kazakhstan last year, the volume of the e-commerce market in Kazakhstan amounted to 3.2 trillion tenge, its share of the total retail trade reached 14.5%. The industry has created more than 300,000 jobs, and labor productivity has increased by more than 30% relative to traditional store and market sales.
