In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to improve the infrastructure of rural areas, Akim of the region Nuralkhan Kusherov instructed to carry out regular monitoring of construction facilities in the region. In this regard, the deputy akim of the region, Yertay Altayev, checked the progress of the construction of a sports complex in the village of Koksayek within the framework of the Auyl – El Besigi program.
Funds have been allocated from the republican budget for the construction of the facility. Currently, construction work is being carried out by the contractor Alem-Kurylys Corporation LLP. The deputy akim of the region gave comments to the representatives of the contracting company and instructed them to ensure high-quality work and timely delivery of the facility for public use. The sports complex, which began construction in 2023, is designed for 250 spectators. The complex will house halls for mini-basketball, volleyball, wrestling and fitness equipment. The total area of the building is 4,267.99 sq. m. Construction is scheduled to be completed this year.
In the village of Birkolik, the deputy akim of the region visited the sports and recreation complex "Baisheshek", where he inspected the recreation facilities for athletes, gyms and drew attention to the condition of the dining room. He instructed the identified shortcomings to be eliminated, and instructed the specialists of the regional sports department to develop proposals for the development of the industry.
Yertai Altaev also noted the need to introduce new approaches to the development of sports.
He instructed to look for young talents in districts and remote villages and involve them in sports. Built in 1972, the sports complex can accommodate up to 250 children at a time. There are equipped halls for wrestling, boxing, weightlifting, football and volleyball. However, the building is currently in need of major repairs.
