Active work continues in the Akmola region to train specialists with technical and vocational education. Today, about 20 thousand students study at 29 colleges in the region, more than 16 thousand of whom receive free education. This approach allows young people to gain sought-after professions and actively participate in the development of the region.
In 2025, declared the Year of Working Professions, it is planned to increase the state educational order for personnel training to 5,700 places in the region, as well as increase the target state order from enterprises in the region from 500 to 600 places. This solution is aimed at providing enterprises with highly qualified specialists and supporting students at the start of their professional path.
Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov visited the Higher Agrotechnical College of Shagalaly village, where about 500 students study. The college trains specialists in 10 working professions, including such sought-after specialties as agronomists and mechanics. The educational institution has created comfortable conditions for students: dorm rooms are provided, meals are provided, and modern laboratories have been created where future specialists hone their professional skills. As part of the Serpin project, students from South Kazakhstan, Mangystau and other regions study at the college.
According to the director of the college, Arman Ospanov, contacts have been established with social partners, with whom training for the real sector of the economy is carried out in close tandem as part of dual education. There are permanent agreements with companies in the Akmola region, and partnerships with other educational institutions are developing. In addition, WATK is an active participant in the international professional skills movement "Worldskills Competitions". .
The head of the region met with the students and got acquainted with their successes and plans for the future. The students shared their stories and talked about the importance of their education. Diaz Maral, who is studying to be an agronomist, noted that he strives to contribute to the development of agriculture in the region. Ruslan Dynkov, who is studying to become a mechanical technician, spoke about his desire to work in an agricultural company and stressed that his profession is especially in demand in modern conditions.
The training program at colleges in Akmola region is aimed at forming a solid foundation for the development of the region and supporting young people. These initiatives create prospects for professional growth and help solve current problems in the labor market.
