The unified distributor has already purchased 1,581 medicines and medical devices, which is 91.5% of the annual plan.

From January 5, 2025, shipments of medicines to medical organizations in the amount of 18.14 billion tenge began. As a result of the purchases, budget savings exceeded 56.6 billion tenge. These funds will be used to purchase medicines in priority areas.
At the same time, the list of medicines and devices is being updated to provide citizens with certain diseases with free and discounted supplies. The changes were based on international experience and focused on a patient-centered approach that increases the accessibility and effectiveness of medical care.

To accurately record needs, the Ministry has developed a new methodology for automated calculation of medicines.
Local doctors fill in patient data in information systems, which ensures a personalized approach and timely replenishment.
