A heavy snowfall occurred in Astana last night. Public utilities are working in an enhanced mode around the clock, and snow removal work is ongoing, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
On the morning of January 29, 2,629 road workers and 1,789 special equipment were deployed to clear snow in the capital.
On the night of January 29, public utilities removed more than 44 thousand cubic meters of snow from the city in 3,539 flights.
Since the beginning of the winter season, more than 4.28 million cubic meters of snow have been removed to landfills in 337,617 heavy truck flights.
First of all, according to the rules, places with the highest traffic intensity are cleared to avoid traffic jams on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity - squares, areas near train stations, sidewalks, entrances to social facilities, etc. will be cleaned.
Cleaning of central streets, places where passenger transport routes pass, stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow polygons in the city. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, and lighting is turned on.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, follow safety rules, and not go on long trips if there is a storm warning.
In case of an emergency, call "112".
