Al-Kuwait, 19 August 2026 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Kuwait Yerzhan Yelekeyev visited Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), where he met with Kazakh citizens working in Kuwait’s oil and gas sector.

During the meeting, the Ambassador familiarized himself with the working conditions of Kazakh specialists and discussed with his compatriots a range of issues of mutual interest. The high professional qualifications of Kazakh specialists working abroad and their contribution to the development of Kuwait’s oil and gas sector were highlighted.

Particular attention was paid to the upcoming elections of deputies to the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for 23 August 2026. Y. Yelekeyev briefed the participants on the voting procedures and encouraged Kazakh citizens to take an active civic stance and participate in the elections.

The Ambassador emphasized the importance of maintaining regular contact with Kazakh citizens living and working abroad and reaffirmed the Embassy’s readiness to provide compatriots with the necessary consular and informational support.

As part of the visit, company representatives also introduced the Ambassador to KOC’s production facilities and briefed him on the company’s main areas of activity.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Yerzhan Yelekeyev thanked the Kazakh specialists for their professionalism and for representing Kazakhstan with distinction abroad, wishing them continued success and well-being.
