Today, the Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Sharlapayev participated in a meeting with listeners of the state program for the development of economic sectors led by the Ministry within the framework of the "School of Analysis - School of Analytics" in the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"The growth of the manufacturing industry has reached 6%. We have two different industries, the first is mining and oil, and then the manufacturing industry. Thanks to these two industries, our contribution to the gross domestic product is high," - noted Kanat Sharlapayev.
The event was held in a question-and-answer format. In a friendly atmosphere, experts actively asked questions and expressed their proposals for the development of the manufacturing industry.
In particular, the participants raised the topic of digitizing the supply segment and using artificial intelligence. The Minister emphasized the need for digitization and highlighted the work being done.
The participants discussed measures to support the chemical industry. Kanat Sharlapayev touched upon the achievements in ferroalloy production and shared plans for implementing projects at enterprises producing concentrated soda and sulfuric acid.
The issues of providing fertilizers, which directly affect productivity growth, were also raised. The minister spoke about the operating phosphorus fertilizer enterprise, as well as plans to expand and increase the production line for nitrogen fertilizers, noting the availability of a resource base for potash fertilizers.
The agenda included the issue of training scientific personnel. The formation of demand for specialists by increasing labor productivity affects economic growth.
The participants discussed changes in housing policy that will improve the quality of housing by expanding the working mechanism of local executive bodies.
In addition, the issue of ore mining for battery production was raised. A proposal was also made to create an IT map of Kazakhstan that would provide information about existing resources. “Such a platform with all deposits and geological information has been launched. We have already processed 506 applications. It is called minerals.e-qazyna.kz. "The data is available to everyone," the Minister replied.
