A. Saginov Karaganda Technical University has signed a long-term cooperation agreement with the QazTehna company, which produces buses and special equipment. The strategic partnership is aimed at strengthening ties between science, education and industry. This should contribute to the development of the region's human resources potential.
"Within the framework of the agreement, it is planned to open a university branch on the basis of the "QazTehna" LLP plant. The department will become a platform for the implementation of scientific and practical work, the implementation of projects on technical tasks of production, and the training of highly qualified specialists such as design engineers and process engineers," the university said in a statement.
The cooperation covers all levels of training - bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies. Students and teachers will have the opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary projects.
The university also discussed a project to create a prototype of a passenger bus with the participation of students and undergraduates. It is assumed that by choosing a model, a team will be identified that will handle all processes, from material selection and casting of parts to full assembly.
University employees visited the factory and got acquainted with the production.
