MEASURES TO PREVENT ILLEGAL TRAFFICKING HAVE BEEN STRENGTHENED IN TURKESTAN REGION

The fight against illegal transportation of petroleum products has been intensified in the Turkestan region. During raids carried out in the region, 567 cases of illegal transportation of petroleum products were identified in 2024, and 32,370 liters of diesel fuel and 6,008 liters of gasoline were confiscated. More than 46 million tenge in fines were imposed to compensate for the damage caused to the state. This was announced at a press conference held at the information platform of the regional communications service.
The above-mentioned work is being carried out on the instructions of First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar.
According to Nurgul Abdyzakova, Deputy Head of the Regional Department of Entrepreneurship and Industry, a special working group created under the Turkestan region akimat is conducting systematic inspections in order to prevent the shadow market. It includes the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industry, the Police Department, the State Revenue Department, the Financial Monitoring Agency, the Transport Inspectorate, the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies and local executive bodies.
The main goal is to prevent artificial shortages of petroleum products, prevent speculation and prevent illegal transportation.
Currently, 380 gas stations and 9 oil depots operate legally in the Turkestan region. AI-92, AI-95 and diesel fuel are freely sold, and no shortages of petroleum products have been registered in the region.
The Turkestan region akimat will continue to strengthen control and take appropriate measures to prevent illegal transportation of fuels and lubricants.
