At an expanded meeting of the Government, the Head of State listened to the report of the Shymkent city mayor on the socio-economic development of the metropolis. He also noted the ongoing work on the demolition of illegally constructed structures.
Kasym-Jomart Tokayev noted that significant work is being carried out in Shymkent, but there is an acute problem with land plots in the city.
"Everyone is equal before the law. Therefore, since last year, illegally constructed facilities have begun to be demolished. Such actions of state bodies are being criticized. But there is no need to be afraid of this. Because the akimat is working in accordance with the law," said K. Tokayev.
The Head of State also noted the need to strengthen dialogue with the people and effectively conduct explanatory work.
"Nowadays, groups have appeared in our country that consider themselves public activists. In many cases, they use social networks to stir up the country by raising unnecessary disputes about the decisions of the authorities, which are fundamentally correct, but not everyone likes. Therefore, it is important to explain all decisions to the people well and carefully. This issue concerns the entire region. Any work should be as transparent and understandable as possible, - said the Head of State.
