The Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Kazakhstan

In Astana, the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Marat Karabayev, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Kazakhstan, Nauman Bashir Bhatti.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the main issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, including the development of railway and road transport, as well as the prospects for increasing the volume of cargo transportation. Particular attention was paid to the issues of expanding transport corridors between the two countries and improving transit routes.
In addition, the issue of preparing for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation (IGC) was considered. The Kazakh side expressed its support for holding the event at a mutually convenient time and is ready to discuss the agenda of the meeting.
Following the results of the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to continue the constructive dialogue and expand cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, which will open up new opportunities for the development of economic relations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
