A meeting was held at the Turkestan regional akimat to discuss ways to implement the instructions given by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at an expanded meeting of the Government. The agenda included 6 issues. In particular, plans were outlined for diversifying the economy, developing infrastructure and energy, developing healthcare, education and social sectors, comprehensively introducing digital technology, reforming tax and budget policy, and implementing the principle of "Law and Order". Akim of Turkestan region Nuralkhan Kusherov instructed those responsible to intensify work to improve the regional economy.
- The Head of State instructed to increase the volume of our economy and increase the gross domestic product of our region. He especially emphasized the rapid development of the manufacturing industry and the emphasis on investment. Attracting private investment to the region is the main task of district and city akimats. In addition to modernizing existing production facilities in the region, it is necessary to pay special attention to opening new production facilities. Foreign and domestic investors should be subject to the same principles and requirements, and they must comply with environmental requirements. A pool of 85 investment projects has been formed to be implemented in the period from 2025 to 2027. I instruct to develop individual work plans for the implementation of these projects, - said Nuralkhan Kusherov.
At the meeting, the first deputy akim of the region Zulpykhar Zholdasov and the deputy akim of the region Beisenbai Tazhibayev presented their plans for the areas they supervise, and reports and plans of the heads of departments were also heard. The head of the Turkestan region's police department, Murat Kabdenov, made a report on the implementation of the principle of "law and order".
Regional akim Nuralkhan Kusherov instructed to diversify the economy, ensure full fulfillment of obligations under each contract concluded with subsoil users in the region, develop the agro-industrial complex and use water resources economically, reduce water-intensive crops, increase drought-resistant crops, and introduce water-saving technologies.
He instructed those responsible to identify key priorities, finance projects of strategic importance and attract private investment, develop tourism, infrastructure, solve drinking water and gas problems, improve the quality of construction work, and resolve issues in the medical, education, and social spheres. Within the framework of the "Year of Working Professions", work will also be intensified in the direction of systematic work, the introduction of digital technology, effective budget management, increasing own income, and creating jobs.
