Akim of Turkestan region Nuralkhan Kusherov received a delegation led by Federico Pugliese, General Director of ArmWind LLP in Kazakhstan of the Italian energy company Eni Plenitude. During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation.
An international energy company engaged in the production of alternative energy has implemented the construction of the "Shauildir" solar power plant with a capacity of 50 MW in the Otrar district of Turkestan region, based on modern technologies. This, in turn, will allow generating electricity without polluting the environment. During the meeting, the potential of this project and its possible development were discussed.
The use of energy saving and renewable energy sources in the development of industry was also discussed. Discussions were held with the Italian company on the possibility of installing 3D mapping equipment at the Kultobe archaeological site. The regional governor emphasized the importance of these works for the region and expressed his readiness to support projects aimed at the development of the region.
– Until now, we have been working closely with you and hope to further develop our bilateral cooperation in the implementation of joint projects in the future. Our region has significant resource potential in the field of renewable energy sources. Therefore, we are considering applying these works to the industrial sector of the region. I invite you to work together in this direction. For our part, we are always ready to support all initiatives that contribute to the development of the region and the well-being of our residents, - said the regional governor Nuralkhan Kusherov.
The General Director of ArmWind, in turn, proposed to continue this fruitful cooperation in order to contribute to the development of the region by increasing the local workforce and technical skills, as well as to explore new opportunities in the field of renewable energy sources in accordance with the sustainable development mission of ArmWind.
It should be noted that the Italian company Eni Plenitude Arm Wind installed a solar power plant with a capacity of 50 kW at a school in the city of Turkestan, as well as implemented other measures to increase energy efficiency.
