Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabosynov held a meeting with the heads of the corporate fund "Fund for Support of Tourism and Sports Industry" (Sport Qory) and domestic professional sports clubs. In particular, the meeting was attended by the general directors of Sport Qory, the Astana football club, the Barys hockey club, the Astana basketball club, and the Astana Qazaqstan Team cycling team.

The meeting heard the last year's report of professional clubs and discussed the main issues related to the development of sports clubs. During the meeting, the Minister also identified the main areas of work for the clubs and gave a number of tasks aimed at making the teams more effective and achieving high sporting achievements. In particular, professional clubs were given specific tasks to develop a development strategy for 2025-2028 with specific indicators, optimize the budget, and, in accordance with the amendments to the Law "On Physical Culture and Sports", pay salaries to legionnaires not from the budget, but by attracting sponsors. Another important task for clubs is to unify the selection system for the main and youth teams. Therefore, professional clubs should strengthen interaction with republican federations and regional sports organizations. This will allow increasing the number of domestic athletes in the ranks of teams performing in international tournaments. "The Ministry will continue to implement state policy aimed at developing domestic sports, supporting young talents, and increasing the competitiveness of Kazakhstani athletes in the international arena. "In particular, special attention should be paid to the development and support of youth teams," the Minister said.
