According to the results of the inspection of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the rights of more than 1,500 children were restored

The Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan has summarized the results of the inspection conducted in 2024. A total of 342 organizations were inspected in 18 regions, including 120 on-site and 58 as part of unscheduled inspections.
The inspections covered secondary education, healthcare, and social protection institutions, including organizations for orphans and children left without parental care, as well as specialized institutions for children with special educational needs.
As a result of the identified violations, 24 administrative protocols were filed, fines of more than 2 million tenge were imposed, 133 orders were issued, and 164 recommendations for their elimination were sent. In addition, 78 officials were brought to disciplinary responsibility.
"The inspections showed that there were violations of the law by local executive bodies in the field of protecting children's rights. This indicates the importance of strengthening control over compliance with the legislation and creating a safe environment for their education and upbringing. All participants in the system are responsible for the rights and well-being of children, and their main task is to protect, support and ensure equal opportunities for every child,” noted Nasymzhan Ospanova, Chairperson of the Committee for the Protection of Children’s Rights of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As a result of the measures taken, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan ensured the restoration of the following rights of more than 1,500 children:
• Housing rights – preservation of the right to ownership or use of housing for orphans and children left without parental care.
• Property rights – protection of the assets and legitimate interests of minors.
• The right to live and be raised in a family – prevention of unlawful decisions that limit the interests of children.
• The right to education – ensuring access to an appropriate level of education, including additional education.
• Psychological and pedagogical support – support in an educational environment that promotes the harmonious development of children.
• Psychological well-being – ensuring the emotional and mental health of students measures aimed at strengthening.
Additionally, recommendations were made on the organization of meals in educational institutions in order to prevent potential risks to children's health. These results emphasize the importance of continuing systematic work to strengthen mechanisms for protecting children's rights and monitoring.
