The building has been operating since 2014. It has not been repaired since it was put into operation. The closure of the complex was due to water leakage from the roof, subsidence of the soil, and water accumulation in the basement.
The contractor company "Altair-SK 7" LLP, within seven months, carried out internal and external repairs for 388.12 million tenge from the allocated budget, and restored the pool. Now the sports complex is ready for training and competitions.
It is worth noting that during the overhaul, the athletes' training was not stopped, they trained in another building.
"The overhaul lasted seven months and was completed on time. The main problem was in the roof and basement. The roof was replaced, insulation was carried out in the basement. 1,600 square meters of tiles were replaced, and the ventilation and heating systems were updated. "Parents and children are happy to see the renovated building," says the pool director, Yermek Zhetimekov.
In accordance with the President's order to prioritize the development of mass and children's and youth sports, work on the construction of sports facilities continues in the Aktobe region.
