The 9th Asian Winter Games, held in Harbin, China, have come to an end. At this year's Asian Games, the Kazakh national team won 4 gold, 9 silver, and 7 bronze medals, taking 4th place in the overall team standings.

The country's basket was filled with gold medals in the individual biathlon event by Vladislav Kireev, and the men's team in freestyle acrobatics, synchronized diving, short track speed skating, and hockey.

The silver medals were won by the biathlete Vadim Kuralas and the Kazakhstan men's team in the relay, the mixed freestyle acrobatics team, Konstantin Bortsov and the women's team in skiing, the women's and mixed short track speed skating team, Evgeny Koshkin in speed skating, and the women's ice hockey team.

The women's speed skating team, figure skater Mikhail Shaidorov, skier Olzhas Klimin, the men's ski team, Ayana Zholdas and the women's team in freestyle acrobatics, and the women's biathlon team. team became the bronze medalist of the Asian Games.

At the Winter Asian Games, 137 athletes from the Kazakh national team competed in 10 disciplines in 6 sports. Athletes from a total of 9 countries were among the medalists in the grand competition in Harbin.

It should be noted that the next Winter Asian Games will be held in Saudi Arabia in 2029.
