The total cost of the project is about 4 billion tenge. In the future, it is planned to create about 200 jobs.
The regional akim visited the reservoir during his working trip to the Kargaly district and got acquainted with the project for the development of the tourist area.
The project "Qargaly Eco Resort" of "Samet International" LLP aims to create an environmentally friendly resort area that will include residential and entertainment facilities, restaurants, sports and playgrounds, as well as various infrastructure facilities for a comfortable stay.
The company will implement the project at its own expense. As part of the "Business Roadmap-2025" program, in 2022, an electricity transmission line was laid on the territory of the reservoir for 29.2 million tenge.
In the summer, two holiday homes for 8 and 4 people began operating here, with piers and three containers placed near them. The project will allow for the development of tourism in the reservoir area. It will contribute to the further expansion and creation of new facilities that will attract tourists from both Kazakhstan and abroad.
"We reviewed the condition of the Kargaly reservoir as part of preparations for the upcoming flood. Today it is filled with 200 million cubic meters. Another 150 million cubic meters of water are expected to arrive in the spring. We will closely monitor the situation and take all necessary measures to ensure safety. In addition, it is planned to improve the area around the reservoir. We will create a unique recreation area for local residents and tourists here.
The nature in the Kargaly district is very beautiful, and we are actively developing tourism here. We will improve roads and improve mobile communications. We met with entrepreneurs who have presented their ideas for the development of the tourism industry in the district, and we will definitely support them. I am confident that the development of tourism will provide new opportunities for the growth and prosperity of the Kargaly district," the akim noted.
