The State Enterprise "Astana City Department of Digitalization and Public Services" reports that it is working on the introduction of advanced digital technologies for managing the urban environment in the capital.
Under the new agreement on public-private partnership, an innovative project in the field of Smart City is being implemented, aimed at increasing the safety and efficiency of urban systems.
Currently, 700 hardware and software complexes are operating in the city, including 6,000 cameras on network sections and intersections, as well as 4,000 general video surveillance cameras and 3,000 external cameras integrated into the Astana City PD Operational Center.
The new public-private partnership project provides for the further use of the existing infrastructure, as well as its modernization and expansion.
The project is designed for 2030 and is being implemented by Presight AI Ltd. is being implemented jointly with the company, a public company included in the international holding G42 - one of the world leaders in the field of artificial intelligence and big data analysis.
The capacity of the project: 14 thousand general video surveillance cameras, 8,000 integrated third-party cameras and a hardware and software complex for recording violations on 1202 RUs.
The main goal of the project is to create a digital twin of the city by connecting more than 100 thousand general video surveillance cameras using artificial intelligence, connecting them to a video analysis system, which will allow identifying potential threats in real time and increasing the speed of response.
The project provides for direct investments of about 53 billion tenge. It is noteworthy that the project is fully financed by the private partner's own funds, while the participation of Kazakhstani companies accounts for 60% of the work volume.
