Another dangerous drug graffiti was found and painted over in the Esil district of the capital, the official website of the Astana akimat reports.
The event was organized as part of the “Astana - a city without drugs” comprehensive action plan to combat and prevent drug addiction. Employees of the Esil district akimat of the capital, police officers and volunteers of the “Astana Zhastary” youth resource center took part in it.
Protesters painted over advertisements for the sale of drugs to prevent the spread of dangerous advertising.
“In Astana, 35 criminal cases were initiated on the facts of drug propaganda in 2024, as well as in January 2025. Active work is underway to identify and eliminate items prohibited for advertising graffiti. In 2024, 2,747 advertisements were removed in the capital. In addition, 268 websites selling drugs were blocked,” said Leyla Rakhimova, senior operational officer of the Drug Crime Prevention Department of the Astana City Police Department.
Volunteers from the capital regularly participate in such events.
“Painting walls with drug advertisements is our contribution to a safe future for young people. We believe that these events will help increase the effectiveness of the fight against drug crime,” noted Elizaveta Pribytkova, a volunteer from the Astana Youth NGO.
