As part of the implementation of the Head of State's task to provide the population with 100% clean drinking water by 2024, work was carried out on 30 projects worth a total of about 60 billion tenge in East Kazakhstan Region, 12 of which were completed.
In particular, a water supply facility was built in the village of Butakovo in the city of Ridder, the villages of Putintsevo and Maleevsk in the Altai district, the village of Maloubinka in the Glubokoe district, the village of Barak Batyr in the Kurchum district, and the village of Ubinka in the Shemonaikha district; in Ust-Kamenogorsk, 2 water supply facilities were renovated on Halyktar Dostyk and Rabochaya streets, in the Stepnoye village of the Glubokoe district, and in the Samar village of the Samar district; in the Botanika-3 residential area in Ridder, Akzhar in the Tarbagatai district In the village of Ridder, water drainage facilities were built.
In addition, 2 water drainage facilities were built in the city of Ridder and the village of Akzhar in the Tarbagatai district.
As a result, about three and a half thousand additional people gained access to clean drinking water.
- According to the results of the year, 213.8 km of water supply networks and 14.5 km of water drainage networks were built and renovated. This allowed reducing the wear and tear of water supply networks by 49.1%, and the wear and tear of water drainage networks by 69.7%. The availability of water supply services for the region's residents was 99.4%, - said Deputy Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region Bakytzhan Bayakhmetov.
According to him, this year 29 projects worth a total of 65.2 billion tenge are being implemented. Contractors have been identified for 28 of them, and tender procedures are underway for the project to modernize the water supply system in the city of Serebryansk.
To fully fulfill the task of the Head of State to provide the population with 100% quality drinking water, additional financing is required for 8 projects involving 4,060 people. Their total amount is 9.99 billion tenge.
These projects include the construction of 4 new water pipelines (the villages of Bolshaya Rechka and Berezovka of the Shemonaikha district, the village of Otradnoye and the settlement of Asubulak of the Ulan district) - involving 2,613 people. 3 reconstruction projects (the villages of Katonkaragay, Bolshoy Naryn and Bozanbay) involve 999 people. 1 reconstruction project (Ust-Kamenogorsk city) involves 448 people.
Full financing of the projects will allow fulfilling the task of the Head of State to provide all residents with clean drinking water.
In addition, the regional authorities plan to reconstruct 531.6 km of water pipelines. This will help reduce network wear by 1.8% to 47.3%.
