Infantry combat vehicle driver-mechanic Private Shakhman Muratov serves in military unit 31775 of the Karaganda garrison. The Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Ruslan Zhaksylykov, recently visited this unit.
During a conversation with the soldiers, the head of the defense department drew attention to Shakhman Muratov's excellent knowledge of general military regulations and official duties. Taking into account his clear answers, his disciplined nature and the positive opinion of the commander, the Minister of Defense decided to encourage the young man with a 10-day leave.
This was a real surprise for both the soldier and his family. When the soldier, holding flowers in his hands, met his mother and relatives, everyone was very surprised.
Shahman is the first of seven children of Bakhytbek and Roza Muratov, and the youngest in the family is one and a half years old.
- We understood our son's decision to join the army. A man should be able to make important decisions on his own, - said the soldier's mother.
The soldier's grandmother, Dayla Maubayeva, was delighted with her grandson's coming of age and was very happy that he had come on vacation. The soldier's father was on a business trip, but he also spoke with his son via video call and expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the defense ministry.
After completing his military service, Shakhman Muratov plans to enroll in the "Conscripts 2.0" program of the Ministry of Defense. Such an opportunity is provided after military service. Similarly, the best in combat training will be able to use the right to enter a higher education institution free of charge without passing the UNT.
