Work to provide local residents with housing continues systematically in the Turkestan region.

The meeting, chaired by the akim of the Turkestan region, Nuralkhan Kusherov, The issues of provision and housing stock were widely analyzed, and the condition of apartment buildings was discussed.

The head of the region strictly warned against improving the mechanism for providing housing to residents and preventing irregularities in the housing queue.

– The main goal is to provide the population with housing within the financial means. I instruct the district and city akims to consider a new mechanism for providing the population with housing and to make proposals within the framework of the regional program. Housing should be provided to families in real need. Effective use of state funds is the main task. Therefore, monitoring work should be strengthened. It is better to direct funds to projects that are necessary for the population, rather than financing ineffective projects. Systematize the repair and maintenance of facades of apartment buildings, - said Nuralkhan Kusherov.

At the meeting, the head of the Regional Department of Energy and Housing and Communal Services, Ruslan Muzdybekov, touched upon current issues in the sector and reported on the housing queue. According to him, today there are more than 67,400 people on the housing queue in the region. In addition, an inventory of citizens in the queue was carried out, and 17,062 people were released from the home queue.

As a result of intensive construction work in the region, 7,766 citizens on the housing waiting list were provided with communal housing between 2018 and 2024. In addition, about 11,500 citizens received mortgage housing. Last year, 1 million 153,800 square meters of housing were commissioned.

Local akimats have provided other opportunities for obtaining housing. Last year, 40.5 million tenge was allocated from the local budget for housing certificates. In particular, 20 million tenge was allocated from the local budget for the purchase of housing in the city of Turkestan, 5 million tenge each in the Otrar and Tolebi districts, 7.5 million tenge in the Sairam district, and 3 million tenge in Sauran. This certificate provides for the state to pay a 10% down payment for purchasing mortgage housing.

By order of the Head of State, a mechanism for subsidizing 50% of housing rent has been introduced. In accordance with the established conditions, disabled people of groups 1 and 2, orphans, families with children with disabilities and large families can receive housing subsidies. Today, the number of subsidy recipients is 2,407 families. As a result of monitoring work on the targeted use of funds, the level of subsidy recipients has decreased by 61%. These works will continue systematically.

It should be noted that this year, a total of 1 million square meters of housing will be commissioned is planned.
