This year, a green entrance will appear in Karaganda and a pedestrian mobility map will be created. Special attention was paid to the completion of projects aimed at creating comfortable conditions for city residents.
This year, landscaping work will be completed at three important facilities in the Kazybek Bi district. This is the square in front of the K. S. Stanislavsky Russian Drama Theater. An open space will be created here by rebuilding the retaining wall, building a convenient staircase, and moving the stops to the edge of the square. Historical benches, garbage cans, and lamps will be installed, and trees will be planted.
As noted by the district akim, Yeraly Ospanov, this facility is an experimental site: for the first time, natural granite paving slabs will be used here.
In addition, the shortcomings of the new park on Saryarka Street in the Southeast will be eliminated and work will be completed.
And the most important project is the landscaping of Bukhar Zhyrau Avenue, which will be convenient and attractive for city residents.
This year, special attention was paid to the comfortable movement of pedestrians. A mobile pedestrian map has been developed, based on data on the most loaded routes in the Southeast. First of all, it is planned to improve the flower garden on Shakhterler Avenue (from the BUM shopping center to the clinic No. 3), as well as the Buketov flower garden near the Norma store. Pedestrian paths will be renovated, lighting will be installed, and access to socially significant facilities will be ensured.
One of the important projects will be the construction of a green entrance to the city from the Almaty highway - from the arch to the Orthodox Church. It is planned to plant about 2,800 trees in two rows along the road. Now the experts' conclusions on the suitability of the soil for planting are awaited. Tree planting is also carried out as part of compensatory planting for cutting down trees in the old park near the school at Bolshoy Mikhailovka station.
– All compensatory tree planting will be under strict control, – the district akim noted.
In the Kazybek bi district, 61 projects are planned to be implemented this year under the “Budget with People’s Participation” program. Applications can be submitted until March 10 at the following link gov.kz/memleket/entities/karaganda-rayon-im-kazybek-bi.
The program will finance not only the repair of courtyards and flower gardens, but also the installation of lighting, parking lots and fountains. The authorities call on residents to actively participate in creating a comfortable urban environment.
