The branch of the "D. Kunayev Greater Almaty Canal" used special equipment to clear thick layers of ice on the Assy River in order to prevent flooding. This event is being held to expand the riverbed and increase its water carrying capacity. In addition, strengthening work was carried out on the Koram main canal.
