Since the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation has conducted a multifactorial survey of 63 hydraulic structures. At the staff meeting of the Ministry, Nurzhan Nurzhigitov spoke about how the work on preparing for floods is going on.
Multifactorial inspection of facilities is carried out to ensure their safe operation and prevent emergencies. As of today, the ministry's specialists have issued conclusions to the branches of Kazvodkhoz and local executive bodies on eliminating the identified deficiencies, carrying out repair work and returning the facilities to state ownership.
By the end of the year, the Ministry plans a multifactorial survey of 19 more facilities. It should be noted that according to the draft of the new Water Code, every five years hydraulic structures are required to undergo a multifactorial inspection.
"According to the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the water Industry developed by our ministry, it is planned to conduct a multifactorial survey of 557 facilities in 2024-2028. Of these, 105 structures will be surveyed next year. Based on the results of the inspections, it is necessary to develop a plan for the restoration of facilities that require serious repairs. Basin inspections should carry out this work together with local executive bodies," said Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation.
