About two hundred investment projects are being implemented in the Akmola region

Akmola region is one of the leading industrial and agricultural regions of the country. Today, industry accounts for a third of the total gross regional product here, which makes it a key sector of the economy. According to the results of nine months, the volume of production in the region has achieved impressive results. This was told at a briefing by the head of the regional Department of Entrepreneurship and Industry Yerbol Ospanov, the Regional Communications Service reports.
The main branches of the region are metallurgy, mechanical engineering and the food industry. For example, almost half of all tractors in the country and most of the combine harvesters, bearings and bricks are produced here. The production of butter, milk and flour has increased in the food industry, which also supports the food security of the region.
"Akmola region also attracts the attention of investors. Over the past nine months, a large amount of investment has been attracted to the region. These funds are used for the implementation of 198 projects that cover key areas – the agro-industrial complex, industry and tourism. At the moment, 64 projects have already been completed in the region, including the construction of a complex for processing grain crops in Kokshetau and a large dairy farm in the Tselinograd district. Promising projects in the field of renewable energy are also underway – wind power plants in the Arshaly district," said the head of the regional department of entrepreneurship and industry.
By the end of the year, 134 new projects are planned to be completed, including a cereal production plant, production of electrolytic manganese, modernization of metal products and expansion of enterprises for the production of agricultural machinery. All this will create additional jobs and strengthen the region's position.
In addition, special attention is paid to the creation of the infrastructure of the Aqmola industrial zone in the Arshaly district, where it is planned to place investment projects with high competitiveness and export potential.
"To attract investments, the Aqmola Invest Investment Development Center operates in the Akmola region, where investors receive full support on the principle of "one window". Since the beginning of the year, the center has held talks with 35 companies from Kazakhstan and abroad, including Hungary, China, Russia, Jordan and Turkey. A number of agreements have already been signed, including projects for the construction of a locomotive construction plant, biogas plants and a drone production plant," the speaker added.
In the coming years, Akmola region will continue to implement major projects aimed at attracting investment and creating new jobs. There are plans to launch 34 projects, which will additionally create almost 3,000 jobs.
