On December 9, the concert hall "Shalkyma" will host a creative evening of People's Artist of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan Shakhimardan Abilov. The audience will hear the monopera "Tolyk Adam, oh tolgau, hakim Abai", dedicated to the work of the poet and educator Abai. Admission is free.
The author and performer of the musical monorequiem Shakhimardan Abilov devoted an entire chapter of his 40-year-long career to Abai's songs. The audience will hear the popular compositions "Kozimnin Karasy" and "Boy bulgan", as well as the well-known work with deep moral content "Segiz ayak".
Shakhimardan Abilov successfully combined teaching with a creative career, bringing up talented students. Starting his career as a soloist of the Kazakh State Philharmonic named after Zhambyl, he put a lot of effort into performing arts. His repertoire includes more than 500 works, including arias, romances, masterpieces by Kazakh and foreign composers.
