Akmola region is the main link in the creation of a food belt around Astana and produces more than one quarter of the national grain production. Under such a message, a traditional agricultural fair is being held in the capital with the participation of producers of the region.
More than 40 food items, which have become the hallmark of the region, are laid out on the shelves of farmers.
In total, Akmola producers brought more than 300 tons of various products to the capital. The cost of products is 10-15 percent lower than the market price.
"Our products have been in demand for more than 20 years. We are engaged in the production of meat and meat products," says Zaure Galiakparova, head of Zhas LLP in Burabay district.
The results of the fairs are evidenced by numerous positive reviews from residents of the capital, including the quality of the products on display, a wide range and affordable prices. Kulyash Kozhakhmetova, a resident of Astana, attends the fair every year
"Today I am glad to purchase meat and dairy products of Akmola producers that my family loves. We are pleased with both the prices and the assortment," said resident K. Kozhakhmetova.
Akim of the region Marat Akhmetzhanov, one of the first to visit the fair, got acquainted with the range of products on display and listened to the wishes of Astana residents.
"Holding Weekend Fairs has a positive effect on curbing prices for socially important food products and providing the population with high-quality, natural food products at prices 10-15% lower than the average market. But at the same time, it is also beneficial for farmers themselves, since it significantly reduces the number of intermediaries," said Murat Balpan, Deputy akim of the region.
Akmola region is the only region whose volunteers help customers with the delivery of products. It's becoming a tradition. And this time, more than 50 young people arrived, who hurriedly rolled carts with purchased goods from the capital's residents.
A concert program with the participation of local artists is also presented to the visitors.
By the way, Akmola region consistently makes a significant contribution to the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan, providing a large volume of nationwide grain production. This year, the region has once again confirmed its status as the grain center of the country, having harvested a record harvest of 6.6 million tons of grain.
