The Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with the Head of the European Education Foundation Pilvi Torsti and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Kazakhstan Jaap Ora. The parties discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of secondary, technical and vocational education.
During the meeting, the Minister noted that within the framework of the Year of Working Professions announced by the Head of State, a large-scale transformation of the system of technical and vocational education is being carried out. Legislative norms are being improved, as well as management at colleges is being strengthened, taking into account the best international practices.
In addition, issues related to the implementation of joint educational programs, innovative development of colleges, internships for students and teachers, as well as projects for the professional development of school teachers were discussed.
