In order to prevent the illegal consumption of tobacco products and hookahs, another night raid was held in entertainment venues in the Almaty district of the capital, the official website of the Astana akimat reports.
On the night of February 21, employees of the Almaty district akimat, together with the police department, conducted a raid.
During the inspection, 17 protocols were drawn up against consumers and establishment owners under Article 441 of the Code of Criminal Procedure "Violation of the ban on the consumption of tobacco products." For this violation, individuals are subject to a fine of 15 to 50 MCI (from 55,380 tenge to 184,600 tenge in 2025).
Such inspections within the framework of the concept of "Legal Order" will be carried out on a regular basis to most effectively monitor compliance with regulatory legal acts aimed at reducing smoking in public places.
