Karaganda athletes won 23 medals at the MMA Republican Championship in mixed martial arts, including four gold.
A total of about 700 athletes from all regions of Kazakhstan and cities of republican significance took part in the competition.
- The level of competition and athletes is increasing year by year. I would like to note the work of the head coach of the national team. Kazakhstan is among the three leaders in MMA on the world stage, and in the Asian segment it has been confidently holding the palm of the championship for 10 years, - noted Vladimir Abrosimov, head of the MMA Federation of Karaganda region.
According to the results of all the matches, Karaganda residents won 4 gold, 8 silver and 11 bronze medals.
Egor Zheltov, Kanagat Magmur, Elaman Tishpaev won gold. Among the girls, Zhanelya Kusaynova from Karaganda became the champion.
The second place was taken by Olzhas Tolegen, Oleg Shirobokov, Madiyar Serikbay, Daniil Gubin and Marat Sarazhatov. Among the girls, Nazerka Eleubekova, Tatyana Gainush and Sabina Kabieva won silver medals.
Murager Baitoleuov, Ansar Omirbekov, Otariy Tushiev, Daniil Rotermel, Akzhol Mirgazin, Bektas Bekesh, Yernur Nurasylov, Aituar Askar and Vitaly Karpunov won bronze medals. Among the girls, Elizaveta Kolomitseva and Asylzhan Amirbekova took third place.
