Inclusive workplaces are being opened for residents with disabilities in the Karaganda region
24.02.2025 03:08:37 539In the Karaganda region, opportunities are being created for the employment of residents with state-supported disabilities. Lidiya Gonkina, a seamstress with hearing impairment, works by profession. She believes that if you have the will, there is no obstacle to work.
A year ago, Lidiya was placed in a special workplace for the disabled at the sewing workshop "Dedal".
- Before that, I worked as a seamstress in one of the ateliers. When the orders ran out, I had to look for another place. I went to the career center. I was offered a job in the city or in Maykuduk. Since I live in this area, I asked them to find a place in Prishakhtinsk. They offered me a job, - says Lidiya. - Our team is great. Everyone helps each other. The girls even learned to use signs to greet me and invite me for tea.
The sewing workshop "Dedal" is engaged in sewing special clothes. This is not the first special workplace at the enterprise.
For the convenience and safety of employees with disabilities, external and internal notification equipment, including digital scoreboards and “smart” wristwatches, has been installed.
The enterprise is a regular participant in various state programs. “Dedal” plans to create another workplace for people with disabilities.
Another example of successful labor integration is Ardak Iskakova. After receiving group III disability, she had to quit her job.
Then she turned to the Labor Mobility Center, which helped her get a job as an administrator at the Rakhat-Med clinic under the state program. The management of the medical organization purchased a computer with a special keyboard and the necessary software.
“I advise people with disabilities who can work to contact the Career Center. There is work, it is not at all difficult for us,” says Ardak.
According to Nurlan Syzdykov, director of the Labor Mobility Center of the Karaganda region, enterprises intend to employ people with disabilities. The state contributes to this by paying subsidies to employers.
– Last year, the Labor Mobility Center created 13 special jobs in two areas. This year, it is planned to employ people with disabilities in three categories: people with hearing and vision impairments and people with musculoskeletal problems, – explained Nurlan Syzdykov. – The main task of the employer is to create favorable conditions for employees with special needs. And the state, for its part, supports their intentions.
The employer is reimbursed for the costs of purchasing and installing devices to equip special workplaces. The state also takes over part of the salaries of people with disabilities. Subsidies are paid monthly for three years: in the first year - 70% of the salary (but not more than 30 MCI), in the second year - 65% of the salary, in the third year - 60%.
Five applications were received to organize 11 jobs, part of which was approved. These are six vacancies for plastic window assemblers in Karaganda, one for binders in Saran, and a packaging facility for the hearing impaired in the Abay district. Also, a vacancy for a marketing manager for people with musculoskeletal problems has been approved in Karaganda.
The region is currently home to 55,000 disabled people, of whom more than 32,000 are of working age. Today, a third of them have found work on their own or with the help of career centers. A total of 1,200 people with disabilities have applied to them. 700 have been selected for jobs in various programs and directions.
