Ministry of Emergency Situations: Rural safety is a priority

The Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General Chingiz Arinov, paid a working visit to the Shet district of the Karaganda region and inspected the fire station built by local executive bodies.
During the visit, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations got acquainted with the progress of work, the technical equipment of the department, and talked with the personnel. He noted the importance of the work of the fire station to ensure the safety of rural settlements and noted the need to further strengthen fire protection measures in the village.
The Minister paid special attention to the issues of modernizing the material and technical base. The department assisted in equipping the station with fire trucks, special equipment, uniforms and personal protective equipment. It is also planned to provide the fire brigade with the necessary communication equipment.
In addition, Chingiz Arinov noted the importance of the work of volunteer fire brigades:
“Volunteer fire brigades provide important support in ensuring safety in local areas, especially in remote settlements. Their contribution to the prevention and elimination of fires is enormous. And our task is to create the most favorable conditions for effective work in this direction. "
Today, 9 volunteer fire brigades in the form of public associations operate in the Karaganda region, which include 186 teams and 4,355 people. They have fire engines, adapted equipment and motor pumps for rapid response.
To strengthen fire protection, akimats have built an additional 57 fire stations. The Minister instructed to continue work on expanding the network of fire departments to cover as many settlements as possible and increase the level of safety for citizens.
