50 young people in the NEET category will undergo training at a military-technical school in Zhetysu region

This year, 50 young people in the Zhetysu region, who are in the NEET category, underwent a one and a half month military training at the military-technical school in Taldykorgan and were provided with conditions for further employment, the press service of the Zhetysu region akim reports.
In general, this year, the regional akimat and the regional prosecutor's office jointly developed an action plan for the prevention of crime in the Zhetysu region under the title "Youth education - the pillar of the future." The plan prioritizes the prevention of youth crime, work with unemployed and NEET youth, youth on probation, and prevention of radical religious movements.
The issue of implementing the plan was discussed at a meeting chaired by the deputy akim of the region Dias Esdauletov, which was attended by representatives of the regional prosecutor's office, law enforcement agencies, and local executive bodies.
As noted at the meeting, 96% of the 113.5 thousand working-age youth in the Zhetysu region work in various sectors of the economy. Last year, 9.2 thousand of the 27.8 thousand people covered by active employment measures were young people. 40% of those who went to vocational training last year were young people.They received the professions of auto electrician, welder, accountant, tailor, cook, hairdresser, confectioner, and baker. In addition, social workplaces were actively involved in public works, the projects "Green Country", "Youth Practice", "First Workplace", "Generations Agreement". In the direction of supporting entrepreneurial initiatives, 57 young people received a non-refundable grant in the amount of 84.2 million tenge and started their own business. This year, it is planned to cover 8 thousand young people in active employment measures. Similarly, within the framework of the "Generations of Independence" grant, 3 million tenge will be allocated for each project in 5 directions, 30 million tenge will be allocated annually. In this regard, the deputy akim of the region said that it is necessary to promote the participation of rural youth in the grant competition. - It is necessary to amend the rules of the "Generations of Independence" grant and organize directions for rural youth. In general, it is important to widely disseminate information among young people about the grants of the regional akim, enterprises, and other institutions for youth, about retraining and training. Similarly, it is necessary to conclude agreements with local employers and form a list of vacancies in them. These are measures that will have a great impact on training and employment of young people in the NEET category, especially in the necessary professions, - said D. Esdauletov.
During the meeting, it was decided to widely implement preventive measures, such as providing psychological assistance to young people in the NEET category, organizing the "Young Soldier" military-sports competition at the base of military units in Saryozek in the direction of patriotic education, strengthening the role of the family and providing support for it. In addition, special attention will be paid to studying the causes of factors that prevent young people from adapting to society. In addition, the number of "Green Country" detachments will be doubled.
The meeting concluded that in 2025-2026, youth service centers will be opened in districts and cities, information will be widely disseminated about state programs, grants, projects for youth, etc. A number of important tasks were given.
