Every year on March 1, World Civil Defense Day is celebrated in various countries at the initiative of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO). This day is aimed at coordinating the efforts of states in the field of prevention and elimination of natural and man-made emergencies, as well as increasing the readiness of the population and civil protection services, and is held every year under different slogans.
Every year, by decision of the International Civil Defense Organization, this day is held under a new slogan.
This year, the events are held under the slogan "Civil Defense - the Guarantee of Public Safety".
As part of the celebration of World Civil Defense Day, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has approved a plan for the Civil Defense Month, which includes events that will ensure maximum coverage of the population not only on the day of the holiday, but throughout March.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan pays special attention to the issues of informing and training the population in the field of civil defense.
Within the framework of World Civil Defense Day, tactical and special training exercises, preparatory trainings, thematic lectures and open classes, as well as preventive measures are held in all regions of the country through the distribution of information and educational materials.
This work is aimed at increasing the readiness to work.
