Today, the regional governor, Gavez Nurmukhambetov, congratulated the war veteran Valentina Arkhipovna Volkodav on her birthday. Our old woman turned 103, she is a true person of the century. At the age of 19, Valentina Arkhipovna went to the front and was part of a bridge-building detachment on the Belarusian and Ukrainian fronts to build bridges and make crossings. She traveled from the Volga River to Berlin, was awarded the Order of the Great Patriotic War of the II degree and medals.
After the war, Valentina Arkhipovna served in the development of our country. She worked as an accountant at a ceramic factory in Tselinograd, and for the past 30 years she has lived in Petropavlovsk.
"I wish our veteran health, long life and family happiness, and continue to enjoy the joy of children and grandchildren," the regional head wrote on social media.
