The Department of State Revenue in Zhetisu region informs that importation of vapes and electronic cigarettes into the Republic of Kazakhstan is strictly prohibited.

The importation of vapes into the Republic of Kazakhstan is subject to criminal liability under paragraphs 2 and 3 of Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Import, production of non-smoking tobacco products, electronic consumption systems (vapes), flavorings and liquids for them are punishable by a fine of up to two thousand monthly calculation indices or corrective labor in the same amount, or community service for up to six hundred hours, or restriction of freedom for up to two years, or imprisonment for the same period, with or without confiscation of property.
