The number of NEET youth in Almaty region has decreased to 26 thousand

According to the head of the youth policy department of the Almaty region, Madi Akhmetov, this work will be continued on the basis of the Concept of the state youth policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2029.
A special action plan has been approved in the Almaty region in 7 main areas specified in the main document. Among other things, the main focus is on the socialization of NEET youth.
"This year, priority will be given to young people working in retail outlets without official registration." The corresponding work is carried out under the supervision of all retail outlets in the region. "We will officially register the employment of at least 500 young people in this area," says Madi Akhmetov, head of the youth policy department of the Almaty region.
According to official data, last year 217 unemployed young people underwent short-term training to restore their professional skills, and 1,267 people underwent short-term training under the Start Your Own Business project. To date, 88 young people have received support for their business ideas and received non-repayable grants in the amount of 400 MCI.
“A Regional Job Creation Map for 2025 has been approved. “According to the document, it is planned to create 60,230 jobs and employ 18,744 young people,” said Zhanserik Adiakhmetov, Head of the Employment and Social Programs Coordination Department.
Comprehensive measures in the field of youth policy are not limited to this. This year, the Safe and Honest Person – Honest Work projects will be implemented.
In addition, it is planned to open a modern youth center. Sponsors will help implement the plan. As a result, the community center in the Panfilovsky rural district of Talgar district will be renovated and transformed into a unique center for youth.
“In general, a comprehensive 12-point plan aimed at supporting youth was approved this year. “By the end of the year, it is planned to directly reach 100,000 young people and indirectly 300,000 young people within the framework of all events,” concluded Madi Akhmetov.
