On March 19, 2025, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with A. Kekiyeva, a senior engineer of Emergency Situations Department of East Kazakhstan region conducted a webinar addressing the issue of children falling from open windows.

The main topics discussed during the webinar:

• Statistics and causes of children falling from windows.
• Preventive measures:

- installing window stops or locks;

- using window handles with safety locks;

- moving furniture away from windows;

- educating children about window safety rules.

- window screen can easily be pushed out by a child leaning against it!

- Remember to always supervise your child when near windows and glass doors.

• Parental responsibility for ensuring children’s safety.

The goal of the webinar was to raise awareness among parents and educators about safety measures to prevent accidents.

The results of the webinar: the participants received useful information on how to protect children from falling out of windows.

Recommendations:

• Parents: regularly check the safety of windows in your homes.
• Teachers: conduct regular discussions with children about window safety rules.

The webinar was held as part of measures to prevent childhood injuries.
