The Hague, March 14, 2025 – Within the framework of the working visit by Kazakhstani municipal representative authority to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a delegation of deputies from Aktobe city maslikhat held several meetings aimed at implementing modern agro-technologies to enhance agricultural efficiency and reduce water consumption.

The delegation from one of Kazakhstan's largest regions was received by Bouke Arends, Mayor of Westland Province, and held discussions with the management of the leading Dutch association, Dutch Greenhouse Delta, about the prospects of implementing innovative greenhouse technologies in Kazakhstan. These technologies ensure high yields while optimally utilizing water resources. Special attention was paid to intelligent microclimate control technologies, energy-efficient structures, and automated systems for agricultural process management.

For reference: Dutch Greenhouse Delta (DGD) is an international platform representing the complete ecosystem of Dutch horticultural expertise and greenhouse technology. DGD seeks to contribute to the production of healthy, affordable, nutritious, and safe food produced sustainably and locally. The organization offers a complete horticultural ecosystem, from "Farm to Fork," encompassing science, business, education, and government management.
DGD actively expands its network of partners, including companies involved in greenhouse construction, plant engineering solutions, seed breeding, logistics, banking, and insurance. The organization also participates in international trade missions and exhibitions such as Agroworld Kazakhstan to showcase its capabilities.

A practical demonstration of advanced methods in berry cultivation and processing took place at the production site of KUBO's greenhouse complexes—a leading developer of innovative greenhouse systems. Deputies observed firsthand the modern technologies, including intelligent plant-growth control systems, efficient water and fertilizer use methods, and highly automated harvesting and processing operations. Additionally, negotiations covered the possibility of initiating the production of greenhouse equipment in Kazakhstan.

The Dutch side was informed about Kazakhstan’s governmental priorities for the agricultural sector, as well as the favorable investment environment established for both domestic and foreign businesses implementing joint projects. The working visit by Kazakhstani local government representatives to the Netherlands became an important step in developing bilateral cooperation in agriculture. The agreements reached provide new opportunities for introducing modern greenhouse technologies in Kazakhstan, adapting advanced management practices in agricultural processes, and creating favorable conditions for agricultural development in Aktobe region.
